The information on this page is intended to provide information on the handling of data that is collected during your visit to our websites in an understandable form (Articles 13 and 14 EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, (EU) 2016/679) as well as German Federal Laws § 13 (1) Telemedia Act (TMG) and § 4 (3) and § 33 Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG)).

The websites are hosted on a server located in a data center in Germany, which is run by a German company. An order processing contract has been concluded with the hosting provider that complies with the requirements of Art. 28 GDPR.

Our websites may contain links to websites of other providers, to which this privacy policy does not extend.

IP Addresses

When you look at our web pages, our servers will see the IP address from which you are accessing. This could be used to determine your internet connection or that of your employer or your whereabouts (e.g. a hotel, café, current cellphone location, etc.).

In the logs of our web servers, IP addresses are not saved if you only browse our web pages.

The access logs contain only the website from which you came to us (referrer), the websites you visit, the date of your visit, the amount of data transferred and the browser used. We use this minimal logging to improve the programming of the web pages. These protocols do not allow personal reference.

In order to protect our servers against misuse (in the sense of Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR), we operate a security software. This records IP addresses only if connection requests have been blocked, i.e. if an attack or misuse has been attempted. After a few hours (or at the most a few days) the log entries are deleted again.

Contact, Email

If you use the contact form to write an email, the IP address you use will be saved in the email. All information provided by you from the contact form will be processed according to Art. 6 (1) lit b GDPR.

You will only receive emails in connection with our company (including further information and offers), if you have explicitly agreed to this communication channel (double opt-in) or if we already have a business relationship.

The email processing runs without external service providers, so only through our own server. Both when filling in the contact form and when sending the generated message, the connections are encrypted.

Cookies

When visiting our websites, small text files are stored on your device, so-called "cookies". This is in fact required for certain functions of the web pages (in the sense of Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR). What exactly is done on our web pages is given in the list below.

a) Cookies for the Operation of the Website

In a cookie is stored, which language or which layout you have selected for the visit of the web site, e. g. to use a barrier-free access. By this means, you do not have to repeat this selection the next time you visit.

When logging into a protected area, e.g. within a particular project, the login status is noted in the cookie.

b) Web Analytics Cookies, Tracking

We reserve the right to use analysis tools because the setting of your browser does not prohibit tracking. This helps us to optimize the design of the websites.

Right of opposition within the meaning of Art. 21 GDPR (and § 15 (3) TMG (Germany))

In the browser you can use the "Do Not Track (DNT)" function to deactivate web analysis. This is currently not activated in your browser.

c) Other Cookies

We generally refrain from using common tools so that the collection of data by third parties is not favored.

In particular, no Google Maps snippets are displayed, no social media plug-ins are placed on the page, and no fonts or program libraries (such as JQuery) are dynamically downloaded from service providers. Also we have no cooperation agreement for special links with Google, Amazon, Ebay, Facebook or other data collectors.

Data Security, Encryption

We use technical and organizational security measures to protect the data we manage against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons.

In general, electronic messages can be eavesdropped, which are transmitted unencrypted on the Internet. Our websites are therefore always encrypted and reasonably secure.

Our email servers support encrypted connections when you send your messages directly to the "MX" of our domain names and your systems are designed for such transmission. Conversely, we usually send emails directly to the responsible servers of the target domain.

Protection Against Spam

Unsolicited, commercial messages are . In order to protect us from spammers, who auto-search websites for email addresses, our email addresses are dynamically created. This includes the legally required contact addresses.

We place clearly marked email addresses in certain places, which are not used in business, but solely serve the purpose of attracting and recognizing spammers.
